Story Time is Menik's debut album. It took over five years to create and features field recordings from milestone stages of Menik's life. Some of the recordings in this project are over 28 years old!

Prior to the album Menik released records on Deep Heads, Trap Door, Rebirth, Loodma, Fent Plates and BBE as well as co produced and remixed records for Counter Records & Ninja Tune artist Submotion Orchestra, receiving airplay and features from BBC Radio One, XFM, Soulection, AIA's Chill & The XXX Channels and Vice's Thump.

His latest long form offering is essentially an audio biography of the artist's most meaning-full life experiences, an OST to a movie that was never filmed.

Staying true to Menik's multi genre style the project seamlessly blends organic recordings with immersive pads, retro synths, melancholic guitar and unquestionable swung beats.

The album features 7 personal stories as well as two collaborations with the wonderful Lylli & Vainsmith. Each track is designed to make you feel the same way Menik & his collaborators felt at the time of writing the records.

The project features the important message of "Authentic", cute & fun sounds of "Long Distance" & "Fuzzy Duck", nostalgic recordings of "Brothers" and the deep sadness of "A Rainy Day In Murrays Bay". This a vulnerable look into the diverse sonic pallet of Menik's mind.

The art work features 9 visual representations of each track illustrated and collaged together by Casper Franken and his team at Shotopop.
